Durham Motorcycle-Car Accident Hospitalizes Rider and Another Driver, Riddle & Brantley Reports
A Collision at the Intersections of Holloway Street and Beasley Avenue Injures Motorcyclist and Motorist
RALEIGH, N.C. – On the evening of Saturday August 24, a Ford Ranger pickup truck traveling west on Holloway Street rear-ended the vehicle in front of it, causing that vehicle to cross over the center lane and collide with a motorcyclist traveling east.
Charges are pending against the driver who negligently rear-ended the vehicle in front of it, causing the chain reaction of accidents. Abel Mondragon, the driver of the Ford Ranger, was not hurt while motorcyclist Stacie Miller was transported to a local hospital with broken arms and legs.
The wreck is still under investigation but driver negligence clearly played a role in the cause of the crash. Car-versus-motorcycle accidents can be extremely dangerous for either party, as motorcycles have very little protection from a crash without any physical barrier, and drivers are at risk of a speeding motorcycle becoming a deadly projectile as it crashes.
If you or a loved one were injured in a motorcycle accident or a car crash in North Carolina, you may be entitled to compensation that would help cover medical costs and rehabilitative expenses involved with your accident. Contact Riddle & Brantley today at (866) 381-7426 for help with your claim.
