WittyCuisiner Shares A Russian Birthday Tradition On Its Social Media Page
Different cultures celebrate kids' birthdays in different way and Russian kids may not get to eat cake on their special days
The major difference between Russian birthday parties and those of other countries is that Russian kids get to eat pies instead of cakes. It is also customary to give the first cut piece of pie to the birthday kid, not to the party guests.
Birthday kid usually get gifts in the classroom. The teachers and classmates give little gifts that include handmade crafts, books, pencils or flowers. They also spend some time playing fun games.
WittyCuisiner, a new Denver based company that sells kitchen measuring spoon set at Amazon, recently posted an image of Russian birthday cake on its Pinterest page.
Evelyn Stewart, a spokesperson of the company, says, "We use Pinterest to reach out to our customers. Pinterest is an image based social media and the image is a wonderful way to get messages across. We think it is a nice idea to share interesting food facts with them."
Stewart continues to explain the how the company uses social media platforms, "Using social media to connect to our customers is a large part of our marketing campaigns. They offer two-way communications, and we can always get their opinions and feedback, which help us improve our service and products."
The image on the company's social media page shows a picture of pie and the text, "Happy Birthday" on it. It size is 500 pix by 521 pix, and the resolution is 300 DPI.
The same image is shown at WittyCuisiner other pages such as Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus.
There are cultural differences in how to celebrate children's birthday, but there is one thing in common that kids all seem to have wonderful time wherever they live.
