Alfresco and Intecna: Partners Providing Innovative Solutions to the Junta de Andalucía
The largest open source software project in Spain worth 1.7 million euro, including services and support
(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 02, 2008 ) London, UK, April 21, 2008 - Alfresco Software together with Intecna Soluciones - its Andalusian partner, have signed a strategic open source software agreement with the Junta de Andalucía. It is the largest project of its kind in Spain to date.
Alfresco will implement the software project over a period of three years. The decision by the Junta de Andalucía (government of Andalusia) to select Alfresco’s records management solution consolidates its leading position in the use of these tools. “Under the supervision of the Department of IT Coordination of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Trade, the project will allow us optimize investment in this type of application”, said Francisco Lineros, Head of Services of the Ministries.
Sabas Casas, General Manager of Intecna Soluciones, also praised the work of the Junta de Andalucía, and its ongoing commitment to business efforts through innovation based on open standards, as in the case of Alfresco Records Management: “INTECNA has always been committed to Alfresco and thanks to a unique Platinum level of collaboration and integration in Spain, we have reached the highest level of national specialization, without which we wouldn’t have been able to satisfy the requirements of the Junta de Andalucía.”
