(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 11, 2008 ) NEW ORLEANS - Bruker AXS announced the new G8 GALILEO ONH combustion analyzer, which provides fast analysis time, automatic operation, precise gas calibration with an infrared detection for Oxygen and a thermo-stabilized thermal conductivity cell for Nitrogen and Oxygen. The optimal signal is evaluated by automatic selection of the measurement range.

Earlier in 2008, Bruker AXS acquired JUWE GmbH, a company with many years of experience in the determination of Carbon, Sulfur, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Hydrogen by Combustion Analysis, that complement Bruker’s X-Ray (XRF) and Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) product lines. Steel plants, foundries, automotive companies, chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as coal processing and oil refinement require high performance analysis of these elements.

Changing from the simultaneous analysis of Oxygen and Nitrogen to the analysis of Hydrogen is an easy task by means of simple software handling within a short time. The analysis temperatures of the integrated impulse furnace are controlled by the software and regulated automatically. Automated cleaning, crucible loading, removal for the impulse furnace and an autosampler for automatic sample loading make the G8 GALILEO fast and cost-effective.
The G8 GALILEO also offers hook-ups to different external furnaces for various applications, such as the analysis of samples with diameters from 1” to 4” with the infrared furnace.

The analysis software of the G8 Galileo ONH melt extraction analyzer is simple to use. The comprehensive software package includes pre-programmed alloys, statistics and calibration. The new Bruker JUWE combustion analysis systems optimize control and quality assurance of precision manufacturing through highly accurate measurements, short analysis times, as well as reliable and user friendly operations.
