(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 27, 2008 ) Detroit, MI—The Real Estate Roundtable Entrepreneurs Club was formed in July, 2006. They now have over 100 members and they’re still growing. This club is free to join because it is sponsored by the college. They meet each month to discuss a different real estate related topic.

This month’s topic will be about a government program for seniors who are 62 and over. They will be discussing how to put a senior into their own home without them being required to make monthly mortgage payments, and yet, they still have equity in the home. They own the home and are required to maintain the home, pay the property taxes and homeowners insurance. They can live in the home for the rest of their lives, but not have a mortgage payment. The program is Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM), otherwise known as Reverse Mortgages for Seniors.

Mark Maupin of National Real Estate Networks says, “this is a great program that helps seniors without costing them any money, while the real estate investor makes a profit,” says Mark.
