Despite no husband at start, Owens plans wedding to the last detail

Kate Owens is from Clifton Park, New York, has figured on even the final detail of her bridal gown, venue, and decorations, and now the only thing she is missing is the groom.
The single bride-to-be even booked a band for the as-of-now wholly imaginary event after seeing them play at a bar in 2003.
I went up to them and I said, ''I don't have a groom, but if you guys are still around, will you play my wedding?'
'I think some people probably thought I was nuts,' she explained to ABC News.
After she had enlisted the help of a wedding plan, speaking to friends on the issue, and spending countless hours scouring the internet, she had all the aspect of her big day finally covered. She noted that she knew what wedding style she wanted from the start. 'I knew the style of wedding dress I wanted.
“I knew what style bridesmaids' dress I wanted. I knew the color scheme. I knew I wanted it to be outdoors.”
When Owens, who is a project manager for IBM, finally met her husband, Shawn Owens, she kept her overzealous plans a secret. It was only after he had proposed that she revealed just how well-planned she was regarding the event. The young woman whipped out her binder labeled “Life” which held in it hundreds of ideas including dress designs, example menus, hairstyles,, and ring designs.
Shawn revealed that he had to admit he was surprised by the situation. He noted he was frustrated at first because, in his words: “This is not your wedding, this is our wedding.” He did eventually realize just how nice it was to have the wedding plan fully handled, so he could focus on life with the person he loved thereafter.
