(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 12, 2013 ) Detroit, MI -- On December 15 2012 Mark Maupin of Brick Repair llc sustained a life altering injury, after a fall caused him to break his back and shatter the bones in his right leg. After the fall Maupin and Brick Repair llc’s ability to perform masonry work was destroyed.
“it’s awful I can’t walk and am stuck in bed all day, I am hopeful that within the next couple years I will be able to get back to doing what I love laying brick, but in the mean time I want make sure my customers are taken care of. I’ve been doing masonry restoration for 16 years and I don’t want loyal customers hiring some hack bricklayer, I’ve built up a lot of relationships with some really great repeat customers and I want to make sure they get taken care off. I May not be able to run Brick Repair llc but at least I can connect my customers with quality masons like Casey and Scott, in fact I’ve respect and know a handful of really great masons I am going to refer my customers to this year at least this way they are taken care of Since the accident Maupin spends the majority of his time in bed recovering “I feel like I am going crazy in this bed just waiting to heal and once I do heal I don’t even know if I will be able to work as masonry contractor again.”
Mark Maupin has been in the masonry repair and restoration business for 16 years although Maupin knows he will be out of work for at least a year or two he is optimistic that he will get back to the masonry trade and laying brick. The reality is that Brick Repair llc is essentially shut down for now and while Maupin is optimistic there is no way of knowing whether the company or Maupin will ever fully recover.
