Robert Shumake to Lead New L3C Focusing on Financial Services, Healthcare & Affordable Technology
The profit/non-profit hybrid organization will provide valuable services to underserved third-world countries around the globe
(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 11, 2013 ) Recognized businessman, philanthropist and author, Robert Shumake recently announced that he will be heading up a new entity that is licensed under the niche organizational structure of a low-profit limited liability company (otherwise referred to as an L3C).
The new entity will be involved in for-profit offerings, but will carry out it’s operations under a low-profit model that is focused on providing vital services to areas that are not considered viable by larger for-profit companies. “We are working in tandem with recommendations provided by the World Bank - with a central objective of improving the conditions of individuals in immensely overlooked markets around the world,” said Shumake.
