Enhanced Malaysia-Pakistan Trade Progression Brings Praise reports SL Info

Performance of MPBC is lauded over

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 05, 2013 ) Selangor, Malaysia -- Masood Khalid, the Pakistan High Commissioner to Malaysia has recently be pleased by the role of the Malaysia-Pakistan Business Council (MPBC) in its efforts to enhance bilateral trade between the countries. Khalid stated that the Council formed in March and was serving as a quality platform for utilizing business opportunities that promote both countries' interests.

Following a 30-month stint as the head of the Pakistan Mission in Malaysia, Khalid stated that the MPBC has made a strong start in its organizing of various activities. Such moves include organizing a three solid cross-country business forums. They will also be sending delegates to Pakistan in order to be present and accounted for at trade exhibitions while conducting business matchmaking sessions for the respective sides.

Khalid further stated that the services of the MPBC Chair Datuk Mohamad Salim Fateh Din were to be applauded. He announced that in honor of the Chairman's efforts and role in the cooperative effort, the Pakistani government would be awarding him a distinguished medal.

Masood spoke on his life in Malaysia, and noted that he was overwhelmed by the hospitality bestowed upon him during his string in Malaysia. He stated that he was sincerely touched by the warmth and friendliness of the Malaysian and was living with what he described as a ting of nostalgia.

“I have enjoyed my stay here, even though it has been a short one. I have enjoyed the beauty of your country, your cuisine, your customs, your culture and the liveliness of Malaysia,” he said.

“And I have personally experienced the special sentiment for Pakistan everywhere I went. Even among men of the street, when I said I was from Pakistan, I could see there was a special sentiment and warmth for Pakistan. That was very touching for my family and I,” said the High Commissioner.

In recalling his early stages of his posting, back in 2010, Khalid remarked that he was quite taken aback by Malaysians knowing so much about biryani. “Every other person I met talked about biryani,” he stated.
