Honorees were Borough President, Eric L. Adams who received the Civic Leadership Award, Derrick Adams, renowned multidisciplinary Brooklyn-based artist, who received the Arts & Culture Award, UNILEVER, who partnered with BCS on the Mobile Shower Bus Initiative, to bring the dignity of a shower to Brooklyn’s homeless received the Corporate Leadership Award, and the Program Excellence Award was given to the World Champion Jazzy Jumpers, a talented group of young people who embody the spirit of the borough that raised them.

The mission of Brooklyn Community Services is to empower children, youth, adults, and families to overcome the obstacles they face. Together they partner with their community to ensure opportunities for all to access an excellent education, jobs, safe and affordable housing, quality health care and wellness programs. This 153 year old organization employs over 500 people in more than 35 programs throughout Brooklyn.
