The issue in these mislabeled soups is in the potential life threating allergic reaction that would occur if the consumer has some sort of mile or shellfish allergy. Dependent upon the severity of the allergy, consumers could be placed in serious danger if these mislabeled soups were to be ingested.
For those Whole Foods Market customers who have already purchased the mislabeled soup products, the store will be taking the items back and giving a full refund. The soup is found in 24oz containers and the label’s sell-by-date is October 4, 2012.
